We're Launching a Book Club!
Teaching runs on both care and a desire for excellence. We want to teach well and to help our students learn because we care deeply for children and young people. This takes zeal - a passionate desire for a purpose.
Many teachers and students will know the danger of burnout too. We sacrifice ourselves for a worthy cause or keep going and going beyond what we can give.
Christopher Ash's little book (123 small pages) challenges the heart issues we might face as we seek to be great teachers. Although it was originally written for pastors, it's a go-to book for our profession too, which shares many similar motivations as church ministry.
This term we're offering the chance to read it together and then to discuss, apply and pray for each other. Here's how you join in:
